Puppies and Preemies!
The CAREing Paws Therapy Dogs celebrated little miracles this past Saturday!
The Children's Hospital of The Medical Center of Central GA held their annual "Preemie Party" to celebrate the premature babies that had "graduated" from the Children's Hospital. The CAREing Paws Therapy Dogs were on hand to make them coo, laugh, smile, and yes, even squeal!
One little boy was so excited he could barely contain himself. He would shout "Puppies!" and then let out a squeal of pure joy. He was very gentle when petting the dogs, and would step back and squeal again. He was precious!
There were several toddlers who wanted to admire the therapy dogs from afar, which is just fine! And they let Mommy and Daddy know when they were close enough and would have no part in touching the dogs. They smiled when we had the dogs perform their favorite tricks. Still no touching, however!
Our dogs were a blessing to the staff at the party as well. Many of them would take a break to come hang out with us and do trick with the therapy dogs.
Several times during the day we would have a run-away toddler heading for the therapy dogs! We all had to stay on our toes at this party!
It was a beautiful Spring day to celebrate life and miracles! Such a blessing to see these precious children thriving and to bring them joy with our very special dogs!
