Reading A to Z is an internet based program that allows access to thousands of downloadable, printable books. The books encompass 29 reading levels offering opportunities to individualize reading materials to meet students’ interests and reading ability. Multiple genres are available throughout each level. The option to print books allows children to write and color them, and to take them home to share with their family. Personalizing the selection from your pet partner is an added bonus.

Benchmark Passages provide a quick and easy was to assess a new student’s baseline reading level to determine where each student should begin. An included correlation chart facilitates determining an individual’s reading level through many different leveling systems (Grade Equivalent, Age Equivalent, Lexile, etc.).

In addition, there are many resources included in the program that are too numerous to mention. They include ideas and materials for vocabulary, comprehension, phonetic decoding, and fluency development to name a few. It is well worth looking into.
