CAREing Paws, Inc. is a local group of registered therapy teams in Georgia that conduct visits in places such as nursing homes, hospitals, libraries and schools. We are a network of compassionate individuals who are willing to share our special animals in order to bring joy and happiness to others.
The "CARE" in CAREing Paws stands for Canines Assisting Rehabilitation and Education.
Honesty – We believe that honesty is more than the absence of lying. It is truth in speech and action, a moral compass, and the foundation of integrity.
Communication – We believe that communication is the key to all relationships and that all communication must be open, honest, transparent and timely.
Respect – We value human life and believe that all people deserve respect and should be treated with dignity. We treat others as we want to be treated and value a positive volunteer/work/life balance. We also value our animal partners as members of our families and will advocate for their health and well-being.
Lifelong Learning – We believe that learning is a lifelong process and that to be a teacher one must be a student and the greatest teacher is experience. “Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.” ~ Benjamin Franklin
Teamwork – We believe that more can be accomplished if we work together toward a common goal or cause and that all of us are smarter than any one of us. We believe that our animals are part of our team and they have a positive effect on the lives of all whom they touch.
We have a passionate culture. We stand up for what we believe and we share our joy!
We are innovative! The best way to have one great idea is to start with a lot of ideas. We challenge conventional thinking and offer new ideas.
We are genuine. We keep it real; are honest with others and true to our quirktastic selves. We always tell the truth.
We make commitments with care and live up to them. We’re never passive, but insist on giving our best effort in everything we undertake. We recognize that shared success is the only kind that matters.
We make informed decisions by collaborating and considering many options before making a final determination. We measure results to ensure our actions remain rooted in sound judgment.
We are flexible. We adapt to changing circumstances and help each other find ways to succeed in our ever-evolving world.
We seek out opportunities to make a difference. We take a stand; share our enthusiasm and build momentum through human-animal interactions.
