CArrie
Carrie is a benevolent chihuahua overlord adopted from the Carroll County Animal Shelter in 2018. Although her health was poor and it was clear that she wasn’t treated kindly by humans in the past, Carrie genuinely thinks everyone wants to be her new best friend. She loves attention, hugs, meeting new people, treats, attention, and long walks in her stroller. Carrie isn’t interested in toys – she’d much rather wriggle around in soft blankets and pillows than chase a ball – but she loves going to markets and craft stores. Her favorite snacks are all of them, though she is partial to pork and fish.
Carrie was certified by the Alliance of Therapy Dogs in summer 2023 (proof that old dogs can in fact learn new tricks). She regularly visits local nursing homes, hospitals, hospice patients, and universities. Carrie loves to be held and her favorite place is either in or next to a lap. Her favorite places to visit are universities – she loves exploring the hallowed halls and being fawned over by students, faculty, and staff. |
