aleeza (a.k.a. Leezi) 

Leezi was rescued from a shelter in N. GA by Golden Retriever Rescue of Atlanta in 2018. She'd been prowling around a dumpster as she was hungry and pregnant. She had her litter in the shelter, the puppies were adopted, and Leezi was awaiting a home of her own when GRRA pulled her to Atlanta - where we found each other.
Leezi and I went through several training sessions (Canine Good Citizen, Therapy Dog Prep, etc.) which she passed with flying colors about six years ago.
​She became a certified Therapy & Read Dog about three months before the pandemic began in 2019. She loves her "job" and regularly visits a memory care center, colleges and schools.
