Echo
My name's Echo, and I'm almost 3 years old. I'm a very smart Lab/Great Pyrenees mix, and I weigh about 85lbs. Although I'm part retriever and part guard dog, I don't really like to retrieve things. I like to keep those around me safe. Think of me as your own personal, very friendly TSA agent who LOVES to snuggle and give hugs. I just started working as a therapy dog, and I love it. I'm very sweet, gentle, and patient, and I like everybody. I have become the unofficial mascot for the Northgate High School tennis team. I love riding in the car, and I go to all their games to support them and make them smile. At home, I sometimes act like a toddler, especially when my sister has a bone that I want, then I whine or pout until she gives it up. She gets a little tired of me because I love to play with her. She, however, would rather play with her ball. I don't get the whole ball thing. So, when she chases her ball, I chase her. I figured out how to open doors and my parents had to change all our door handles in the house to the round ones. Those I can't open. Once a week, I usually meet up with my friend Hope, who is also a therapy dog, and we go all sorts of places just for fun and just the two of us. Hope and my sister are teaching me about water. I'm very intrigued by it, but I'm not sure if it's safe. I'm a little bit of a chicken when it comes to swimming, which is something retrievers tend to love. I'm still young, and I have plenty of time to learn. I have a lot of fur so it would be nice if I could cool off in the pool. I'm just not sure it won't eat me...!
